Nevada Rural Water Association is a small non-profit organization based in Carson City. We are looking for a part-time Accounting Manager to take full charge over all areas of accounting for our business.
Accounting Manager Responsibilities:
- Prepare journal entries.
- Reconcile general ledger accounts.
- Bank reconciliations.
- Produce accurate monthly financial statements
- Handle all aspects of Accounts Receivable and Accounts Payable
- Handle all aspects of Payroll, including quarterly and year end reporting
- Comply with accounting requirements for several Federal and State agencies
- Present financial results quarterly to the Board of Directors
- Ensure all accounting is performed according to General Accepted Accounting Principles
- Maintains proper internal controls
- Work closely with auditor to ensure error free financial reporting
- Work closely with office staff on membership and advertising functions
- Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting, finance or relevant is preferred
- 4+ years of proven successful accounting experience.
- Proficient in MS Excel, Word and Outlook
- Proficient in QuickBooks
- Ability to work independently and meet strict deadlines
- Strong problem solving skills and attention to detail
- In-depth knowledge of GAAP

District Manager (Manager)
The Round Hill General Improvement District (District), located in Zephyr Cove, NV with approximately 480 customer connections is accepting applications for the position of District Manager (Manager). The District operates a public water utility, sewer collection system, road infrastructure, storm drains and erosion control systems.
The Manager is responsible for: managing a staff of 4, implementing policy and managing and directing all affairs of the District under the direction of a 5 member elected Board of Trustees.

Water Operator OIT or D1
This is a full time position with benefits including medical, dental and vision insurance with premiums paid 100% for employee and 80% for dependents, vacation and sick leave and PERS. This position will report directly to the Water Operations Supervisor with hours set at 7:30AM-4:00PM, Monday-Friday. This position must be available to be in the standby rotation for afterhour’s emergency calls, with a response time of no longer than 30 minutes. OIT starting hourly wage is $16.96 and D1 starting hourly wage is $18.63.
Water Operator OIT or D1 is a safety sensitive position subject to pre-employment and random drug and/or alcohol testing.
Responsibilities under the Water Operator OIT or D1 position include performing a variety of routine technical duties in the Water plant including maintenance, repairs and monitoring of the Water Plant operations and distribution system.
Minimum requirement of a Nevada Operator in Training Certification.
A valid state driver’s license to cover operation of public works vehicles is required.
Preference in the recruitment process will be given to applicants:
- Who have one year of experience operating piping, valves and controls.
- Who have experience involving the installation, maintenance and repair of fluid pumps and related systems.
- Who can install, repair and read water meters.

Great Basin Water Company is seeking Lead Operator candidates to fill an opening in our Pahrump, NV location.
Under limited supervision, the Lead Operator performs routine tasks related to the operation of a water/wastewater treatment facility. Responsible for maintaining plant compliance with EPA standards and state water Commission. Assists with training of other personnel and leading work crews. Demonstrates continuous effort to improve operations, decrease turnaround times, streamline work processes and works cooperatively to provide quality seamless utility service. Works with Area Manager to ensure continuity of processes, goals and vision of UI.
The selected candidate will be a have a minimum of 5 years’ experience hold dual licenses (Nevada Grade 3 Wastewater Treatment and preferably Grade 3 Distribution); or have the ability to become licensed through required testing or reciprocity within 12 months of hire.
