Nevada Rural Water Association
Proudly serving Nevada's Rural Communities

Welcome to NvRWA
The Nevada Rural Water Association is a nonprofit membership organization that provides water, wastewater and solid waste training and technical assistance programs statewide; an aggressive training calendar that provides classroom instruction with practical application, and valuable networking assistance with other systems and vendors.

Most water systems are small.  In fact, over 56,000 water systems, almost 95% of the water systems in America, serve less than 10,000 in population.  By joining together, small systems realize big benefits.

Nevada Rural Water Needs Your Help!
From time to time, we ask for your support to communicate with Congress or agencies about your experience with Rural Water. The programs we field are there to help everyone in the industry in Nevada do a better job and reach their capacities.

We need your help in order to continue providing on-site services for your water system. We have already had a few responses and I am sending a reminder - we need you to act now. The letters we collect will be called for very soon, and we will forward them to National Rural Water at that time. We will have these programs in Nevada again, only if National is successful. Please take the time to write a letter this week. It needs to be on letterhead, have a signature and title, and contain the following:

(Date)

USEPA Administrator Lisa Jackson,

The (____________) water system, population (______) supports  the training and source water protection assistance provided by the Nevada Rural Water Association through EPA funding to the National Rural Water Association.

Yours,

(signature)

(Title )

If you are involved with several systems, there is no need to send an individual letter for each one.  In your letter, just state the system names and populations served.

Please remember to send these to NvRWA, and we will forward them at the appropriate time.  Please send the letter to NvRWA via e-mail, or if that is not possible, by fax, so that we will be able to re-transmit all of your responses at one time.  If you need to mail your letter, we will be able to scan it to a pdf and forward it that way, but please remember this will take time and time is growing short.
